Ridgway 1K Rally Thru the Alley
Sunday, October 5 | “Race” starts at 12:45 PM | Clinton Street, Ridgway
Presented by Citizen’s State Bank, Weehawken Creative Arts, and The Sherbino, the Ridgway 1K Rally Thru the Alley is a celebration of costumes, carbs, and community! This hilariously slow-paced 1K is perfect for all ages and fitness levels (especially the “non-runner” types).
Forget training — this “grueling” 6-block, all-downhill course is lined with seven themed aid stations, where participants can refuel with everything from bacon to donuts to mocktails and more. Waves of racers (aka revelers) are released every few minutes beginning at 12:45 PM, with the last wave departing no later than 1:15 PM — so arrive before 12:45 if you’re registering day-of!

San Juan Barrel Fest
Sunday, October 5 | Following the Ridgway 1K (2-5 pm) | Hartwell Park, Ridgway
After the finish line, the party continues in Hartwell Park with the San Juan Barrel Fest — a regional tasting event featuring a curated selection of 12 amazing makers of craft beer, cider, and spirits from around the San Juan Mountains and beyond.
Enjoy live music by BONEWAGON, relax in the crisp fall air, and enjoy a delicious drink (or several!) while the kids enjoy fun activities nearby, including inflatables and face painting.

Barrel Fest is ticketed separately or available as an add-on with your Ridgway 1K registration. All proceeds benefit Weehawken Creative Arts and the Sherbino, supporting arts and culture in Ouray County and beyond.

This is a "run" you won't want to miss! The Ridgway 1k is a very fun, costumed race for all ages with plenty of rest-stops along the way of the "grueling" 6 block, downhill course. Each stop celebrates the need to refuel with plenty of carbs... and bacon! Remember to take your time and enjoy - after all, in the Ridgway 1k, if you're first, you're last!
The race ends at Hartwell Park with live music and an optional add-on regional barrel tasting festival too (San Juan Barrel Fest)! This event is a fundraiser for two non-profit arts organizations, Weehawken Creative Arts and the Sherbino.
